Net World Sports Climb Coveted League Tables

12 Apr , 2018

We’ve had a week of celebrations here at Net World Sports (and it’s not even Friday yet!) as we’ve gone and secured ourselves on two esteemed league tables, ranking in both The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 and FT 1000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies.

The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100

This is the second year running that we’ve placed in The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100. We’ve jumped 33 positions since last year and are now 33 out of 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits in the UK. To even be eligible for the rundown, companies must have profits of at least £500,000 in the first year of the qualifying period and at least £3 million in the latest year, while profits must increase year-on-year for the qualifying three years.

With an annual profit growth of 79% a year over the qualifying period, reaching £5.1 million in 2017, we are one of four Welsh businesses to make the cut in this year’s top 100, alongside Powys-based Carpenter & Paterson, Burns Pet Nutrition in Carmarthenshire and Llanmoor Homes based in Glamorganshire. Bed manufacturer, Dreams, topped the table this year with profits of over £34.5M, while other big brands such as Gymshark and Pret A Manger also featured in the round up.

To celebrate our news, the team at BDO sent us a delicious cake, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in the office. As good as it looks on our award table below, we can confirm it didn’t last long as we all tucked in to it to celebrate our success!

FT 1000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies

We’ve also rocketed straight in at 407 in FT1000 Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies, having sold €15.2M worth of quality sports equipment in 2016 – a huge revenue growth of 391% from 2013! Compiled by The Financial Times and Statista, the FT1000 lists the companies in 31 European countries that have achieved the highest compound growth rate in revenue between 2013 and 2016.

We joined another 155 UK companies who featured in the list including; takeaway delivery company Deliveroo who placed top of the table taking the place of Germany’s HelloFresh, New Wave Capital and Just Eat.

With the exciting product developments we have lined up for the rest of this year, we’re hoping to continue exceeding the growth plans we’ve set ourselves for both the UK and internationally and in turn, keep on climbing up these league tables.
