The most famous competition in the Tennis Wales calendar, the Welsh Tennis Championships date back to 1927 and comprises of more than 30 different adult, junior and wheelchair events. In need of tennis balls to use throughout the competition, Tennis Wales got in touch to see if we’d be interested in partnering with them as the tournament’s Official Tennis Ball Sponsor and we said yes, supplying more than 2,000 balls.

The Welsh Tennis Championships, organised by Tennis Wales, run during the last week of the UK’s summer holidays and provide all who enter the chance to compete with the very best Wales has to offer in the hope of calling themselves a ‘National Welsh Champion’. With the 2019 tournament being held less than 10 miles away from Net World Sports’ HQ at Wrexham Tennis Centre, we have supplied 522 tubes of Vermont Classic Tennis Balls worth over £1,500 that will be used throughout all events at the tournament as well as given to players as part of their ‘goody bag’ for entering the tournament.

“Our Team Wales Manager who works with performance players initially tried the Vermont Classic Tennis Balls out with some of our top juniors to see if they could be used for the tournament. The whole team was really impressed with the packaging when they took them out of the box and the balls are very lively compared to other brands which will work well with the hard courts we are using during the Welsh Tennis Championships.” Mark Lewis, Participations & Competitions Manager at Tennis Wales.
