A passing drill that works on first touch, passing repetition, and reactions.

Delivery:

  1. One touch passing with right foot when coach calls color shuffle around cone and return to center of square to one touch.
  2. One touch passing with left foot when coach calls color shuffle around cone and return to center of square to one touch.
  3. Two touch passing with right foot when coach calls color shuffle around cone and return to center of square to two touch.
  4. Two touch passing with left foot when coach calls color shuffle around cone and return to center of square to two touch.

Progression:

  • When ball is played into square coach calls a color.
  • If black is called player takes a touch between blue and black and plays back to coach.
  • When green is called player takes touch between green and red and plays ball back to coach.
  • When blue is called player takes touch in front of blue and goes around blue with their body and passes to coach.
  • When red is called player takes touch in front of red and goes around red with their body and passes to coach.

Points to remember:

This drill can be progressed by moving the pop-up goals further away from the slalom poles to increase the distance of each pass.
