The Sales Executive role:

Net World Sports is fast becoming the number one online destination for sports equipment. We’re growing extremely quickly, sending out thousands of weekly orders to almost every country around the world from our 50,000 square foot warehouse, but we’re very ambitious. We want to grow quicker and that’s why we need another enthusiastic and driven Sales Executive who can match our aspirations for success.
We’re looking for a passionate Sales Executive to join our busy sales team. We’re an eager bunch so you’ll need to be full of energy, committed to maximising every opportunity and truly value excellent customer service. Our customers rely on us for expert advice so you’ll need to have enthusiasm and knowledge of the sports arena, ably demonstrating the quality and value of our professional sports equipment.
We’re entering an exciting period of growth with increased marketing investment and new product development. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate sales driving force, dynamism and commitment in a largely autonomous key role within the business.

What your responsibilities as Sales Executive will be:

  • You will be generating sales opportunities for our extensive range of sports equipment, including our football goal range which is the fastest selling in the UK. Customer experience is paramount so whether you are selling off the shelf products or tailoring solutions to our customers’ needs, every opportunity must be maximised.
  • • Successfully target new business, owning your sales leads from first contact through to closing the deal. Repeat business will be of paramount importance and the ability to make long-standing relationships with our customers is vital. With this in mind frequent visits to customer sites will be expected.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, and diligently follow-up on the leads to exceed your sales targets.
  • You will be dealing with a range of customers including the public, schools, clubs and commercial businesses. You will understand the difference in target audiences and vary your approach to suit.
  • You will champion our ‘customer first’ mentality, striving to ensure that not only all customers leave satisfied but also that repeat business gains can be made.

  • You’ll have an ever enthusiastic and positive attitude, paying a genuinely interest in our customers
  • You’ll thrive in fast paced, changeable environments.
  • You’ll have the confidence to think on your feet and make real time decisions.
  • You’ll be capable of building a natural rapport with customers, fully understanding the importance of long-term relationships in future growth.
  • You’ll have a professional approach with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate and influence.
  • You’ll be full of ideas. We understand that it’s our people who will drive us forwards so you’ll constantly be suggesting ways to improve our service and what we offer to our customers.
  • You won’t necessarily be a budding sports star but you’ll have a solid knowledge of sports in general. Ideally you’ll have extensive knowledge in at least one area of sports.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous experience in the sports equipment sector
  • Git / other version control systems
  • The ability to source and negotiate price and delivery from third party suppliers in the UK and overseas.
