Buy 20kg dumbbells at Net World Sports. A step up from 15kg hand weights, a pair of 20kg dumbbells opens up heavier compound training and exercises. One-arm-rows, floor presses, Romanian deadlifts, goblet squats, lunges and farmer’s carries all sit well at this load for intermediate lifters. Advanced bodybuilders may use 20kg dumbbells for bicep curls and chest flys. Ideal for serious home gyms, PT studios and commercial facilities, you can choose from a range of designs and materials to suit your training setup. Rubber Hex Dumbbells offer great value and combine the robustness of a heavy-duty metal core and handle with rubber-coated weights at each end. The soft rubber exterior mitigates damage if the dumbbells are dropped. Pro Urethane Dumbbells are designed for commercial gyms and those who want the best for their home gyms or PT studios. The ultra-tough urethane coating is designed to withstand years of heavy use. 20kg chrome dumbbells are ideal for PT studios and gyms where the aesthetic is important. 20KG DUMBBELLS FAQs

Who are 20kg dumbbells suitable for?
20kg dumbbells suit intermediate and advanced lifters who have progressed through lighter weights. Those using 20kg hand weights should have built proper form & technique, as well as a good foundation of strength. The 20kg (44lb) weight of each dumbbell is often used by intermediate lifters for compound exercises (exercises that use a large amount of muscle mass), including one-arm rows, chest presses, dumbbell deadlifts and squats. They can also be a very challenging weight for advanced bodybuilders and weightlifters when carrying out arm exercises like bicep curls, and specific core and leg exercises such as Bulgarian split squats and weighted lunges. It is important to be aware that 20kg is advanced and much harder to use for some exercises, compared to others. Beginners should start lighter - the FORZA 5kg, 8kg or 10kg dumbbells are a better fit for early training.
Is a 20kg dumbbell heavy?
It depends on the exercises, but for a beginner, 20kg is probably too heavy for the majority of exercises. Beginners should be careful and focus on technique and proper form and a smooth and controlled tempo. Lifting too much too early is likely to result in injury. For some idea of context, in HYROX, women use 16kg in the open division for farmer's carries, and men use 24kg. Farmer's carries involve holding the weights by your sides and walking with them. Bear in mind that this is generally done with kettlebells, which tend to be easier to grip than most dumbbells. Sandbag lunges are done with 10kg and 20kg in the men's and women's open division. You can do weighted lunges with dumbbells held by your sides; using 2 x 20kg would be exceptionally heavy and should only be attempted by advanced exercisers who have built up from lighter weights.
What exercises can be done with 20kg dumbbells?
The great thing about dumbbells is that they are extremely versatile. The other great thing is that a set of 2 or 3 dumbbells won't take up too much space, so they're ideal for home gyms. 20kg dumbbells support most compound and isolation lifts - depending on your experience/strength. Common exercises include dumbbell one-arm-rows, floor presses, Romanian deadlifts, goblet squats, walking lunges, farmer's carries, shrugs and, for advanced lifters, heavy bicep curls. Using a weightlifting bench gives even more variety. A bench allows you to do shoulder press, bench press, and gives a support base for one-arm-rows. You can still do a highly effective workout without one, but serious bodybuilders are likely to invest in one at some point when they set up a garage or home gym.
