FORZA Goals Take Centre Stage at Belgium’s First Purpose-Built World Cup Arena
When Germany lifted the Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup trophy on August 30th, the winning shot hit the back of a hockey goal net engineered in Wrexham, North Wales.
Global sports equipment supplier Net World Sports, through its flagship brand FORZA, provided and installed the official match goals at the newly built Belfius Hockey Arena in Wavre, Belgium, the purpose-built 10,000 capacity venue that staged half the tournament’s matches, including the men's final.
Installed in partnership with specialist sports contractor Lesuco, who delivered the arena’s top-tier Polytan synthetic turf pitch, the equipment will remain in daily use as the permanent home of Belgium's national teams, the Red Lions and Red Panthers.

Built to withstand repeat impacts from balls traveling over 100 km/h, the flagship FORZA FIH Championship Hockey Goals feature custom tournament branding and performance-driven modifications:
- FIH Class 1 Certification: Certified to meet maximum international competition requirements.
- Heavy Duty Impact Netting: 3mm HDPE braided netting held securely by lacing bars prevents high-speed ball escapes and stops rebounds back onto the pitch.
- Acoustic Backboards: Carpet-lined polyethylene backboards deaden ball impact and absorb sound.
- Anti-Tip Mobility System: Internal weighted back bars allow rapid repositioning on heavy-duty wheels without extra ground anchors into the Polytan turf.
- Broadcast Ready: Special anti-glare powder coating paired with custom camera bracket mounts designed specifically for global TV coverage.

The FORZA goal model is independently tested and verified by Sports Labs, a world-leading accredited test house for sports equipment and surfaces.
