Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant role:

Established in 2009, Net World Sports is a rapidly growing ecommerce business. We’re on a mission to become the world’s largest sports equipment provider and we need an Accounts Assistant to join our team and help us get there. You’ll be joining our busy Accounts department and will play a crucial part in ensuring that we run as smoothly as possible, communicating with all departments across the business from Customer Service to Warehouse.

What your responsibilities as Accounts Assistant will be: 

• Entering invoices on to SAGE according to defined procedures.
• Data collection and input into Excel documents for analysis. 
• Undertake problem-solving in areas relevant to primary duties. 
• Work with different currencies; identifying exchange rates and carrying out conversion calculations.
• Organising quarterly files. 
• File invoices and accounting data according to defined procedures. 
• Answering supplier telephone and e-mail queries. 
• Maintaining petty cash and PO systems. 
• Checking and entering data on to our OMS. 
• Creating and sustaining links between all departments. 
• Adhoc department duties as they arise.

What skills you’ll need to show us:

• You will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy and be a whiz at data entry.
• SAGE knowledge is an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
• You’ll have advanced IT skills, particularly a strong working knowledge of MS Excel. 
• We’re an extremely fast paced business so you’ll need to be self-motivated, organised and a brilliant multi-tasker.
• You’ll be able to think on your feet, proactively finding solutions where needed.
• You’ll understand the common goal and with your fantastic communication skills you’ll able to connect with various departments to ensure that our operations run as effectively and efficiently as possible.
• You’ll be able to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion with the highest attention to detail.
• You’ll have a positive approach and your ‘can do’ thinking will mean you’re always keen to excel.
