Position Overview

As a Product Technician & Fitter, you’ll be an important part of our Products team and will key in helping us to continually improve and develop our products, both new and existing. You’ll also be responsible for assisting with the assembly and installation of products at various client and customer sites.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • The assembly of various products within our range
  • Testing and analysing product performance
  • Assisting with the different stages of product creation and design
  • Supporting activities ranging from early conception, right through to creation
  • Identify, diagnose and rectify design problems through the whole creation process
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving for existing products
  • Working within the team to ensure that products meet the requirements of functionality, reliability and practicality
  • Producing drawings using CAD programmes
  • Contributing to the business by identifying possible opportunities for improving working practices, processes and/or procedures
  • Ability to interpret drawings and work from written instructions
  • Attending off-site visits to customers and clients, assisting with product installations
  • Organising transportation, support and additional items needed to ensure all installations run smoothly

What you'll need to show us:

  • Strong attention to detail is key
  • Practical and hands on approach to problem solving
  • The ability to show initiative with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well individually and as part of a team
  • A relevant engineering qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Experience with CAD programmes is also desirable, however training can be available for successful candidates
